PST/PET Exam Details for Assam Police Recruitment 2024

Candidates who have passed the application process will face PST and PET as the next rung of selection. Here is what you should know about the tests:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST)

This is a non-scoring test, where candidates’ physical measurements such as height, weight, and chest (for males) will be taken.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET is an important test, and candidates must perform specific physical tasks:

• Race:
  • Male: 3200 meters to be completed in 14 minutes
  • Female: 1600 meters to be completed in 8 minutes
• Long Jump:
  • Male: 335 cm (3 chances)
  • Female: 244 cm (3 chances)
• Chin-Ups (for Male Constable Applicants):
  • Less than 4 chin-ups: Disqualified
  • 4-14 chin-ups: Marks from 10 to 20
